The Iherir Valley displays its ineffable charm with its jagged cliffs and intermittent streams which give life to an immense limestone Saharan plateau. Rocky sections of the mountains that surround the enchanting oasis are home to cave paintings that date back to prehistoric times (Neolithic). A gentle circuit in a green valley with refreshing gueltas. The Ihérir Valley is classified by UNESCO as a world heritage site (1982) and Man and Biosphere Reserve (1986). It is also, rightly, on the Ramsar list of wetlands of international importance.
